Anti-Scam
Security & Anti-Fraud Notice (Jobaa)
From time to time, fake job posts appear online to trick job seekers into sharing personal data or sending money. This violates the Jobaa Terms of Use and may be a crime. We work hard to keep Jobaa safe, but your vigilance is essential.
Important Tips for Your Security
Never pay for a job. Do not send money for “visa processing,” “training,” “equipment,” “background checks,” or “application fees.”
Verify the employer. Check the company’s official website and social profiles. Make sure the recruiter’s email domain matches the company domain (not free webmail).
Protect your personal info. Don’t share national ID/passport numbers, full date of birth, bank details, one-time codes (OTP), or your Jobaa password.
Be cautious with off-platform chats. Treat requests to move immediately to WhatsApp/Telegram or to click shortened/unknown links as a red flag—especially before you’ve applied through Jobaa.
Watch for pressure tactics. “Urgent hire,” “guaranteed income,” poor grammar, and requests to buy crypto or act as a “payment intermediary/money transfer agent” are classic scam signals.
Use Jobaa messaging when possible. Keep conversations and files in Jobaa so we can help if something feels off.
Share only what’s needed. When sending documents, remove sensitive numbers where possible or watermark copies “For recruitment at [Company] only”.
If Something Seems Wrong
Report the listing: Use the “Report abuse” link on the job page.
Email our Safety team: [email protected] (or [email protected]). Include the job link, screenshots, and any messages you received.
If you sent money or sensitive data, contact your bank/mobile-money provider immediately and report to local authorities, then notify us.
What Jobaa Does to Help
We use automated and manual reviews, rate limiting, IP/geolocation checks, reCAPTCHA, password-leak checks, and optional 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) to reduce fraud. Offending accounts and posts are removed and may be banned.
Reporting a Security Vulnerability
If you believe you’ve found a security issue in a Jobaa product, please report it responsibly to [email protected]. We appreciate coordinated disclosure.
